The Unforgivable acts of "Parenting"
I witnessed two of the most disturbing things.
Disturbing thing #1: There was a mother at a shopping mall with her almost 2yr old son, (my mother told me his age. I guess when you deal with preschool kids, you just know these things) anyway, this small child, as most small children have the tendency to do, started to walk away from his mother. Then to my utmost horror, the mother pulled a wooden spoon from her purse and spanked her child.
Disturbing thing #2: I was sitting in a doctors waiting room and there was a mother, son and daughter sitting in the chairs across from me. The boy was asleep and the daughter was schlumped against the chair. The mother was texting. (lets turn to play format...)
Daughter: "Mom..."
Mom: *silence*
Daughter: "MOM!"
Mom: *silence*
Daughter: "Mom! Stop texting and look at me when I am talking to you!"
Mom: *silence*
Abhor (v) to regard with extreme repugnance or aversion; detest utterly; loathe; abominate.
